Nearly 90% of U.S. Adults Believe Inaccurately That It’s Important to Eat Animal Products to Get Adequate Protein

A recent study followed over 200,000 people for 30 years to see how their protein choices affected their heart health. The researchers discovered that individuals who consumed more protein from plant-based sources, like beans and nuts, and less from animal products, such as meat and dairy, had a significantly lower risk of developing heart disease.
