It is a long-standing program established in 2001 by the Physicians Committee and supported by more than 12,000 physicians and 175,000 concerned citizen members.
Developed by nurses, dietitians, and nutrition researchers, it is evidence-based translating the latest nutrition research into lessons that are easy to understand and apply.
Studies have proven that the diet of the program is effective in lowering risk of cancer, heart disease, hypertension, obesity and diabetes.
This curriculum is based on the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine’s successful 21-Day Vegan Kickstart program and the Food for Life’s Kickstart Your Health curriculum, with introductions to our cancer and diabetes curricula.The Employee Wellness Program classes are intended to be taught during a one-hour lunch break and consists of video, discussion and a satisfying plant-based lunch.
