Another Study Confirms the Reversibility of Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is reversible, according to a new interventional trial of over 2,500 individuals. The intervention included a customized vegan diet, exercises, stress management support, and medical management for one year. Of this group, 30% of participants experienced remission of their diabetes. Those on a vegan diet also saw improvements in their blood sugar and body weight, regardless of what their medication status was prior to the intervention.1 Plant-based diets have been shown to be more effective at managing diabetes than the standard of diabetes care or the America Diabetes Association’s recommended diet.2,3
